Johnna’s professional experience in the fields of financial management, accounting, taxes, grant management, and risk management spans more than 35 years. She has expertise in strategic planning, accounting and financial reporting, financial and tax compliance, auditing and internal controls, PCI policy development and compliance, major systems implementations, and automation of business processes. She served sixteen years as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance to several non-profit organizations. As she launched her career, she spent over a decade as an auditor and tax accountant in public accounting firms in Virginia and Vermont.
Johnna takes great pride in being a lifelong dog owner. She first met the Summit Dog, Inc. team in 2018 and often volunteers to assist with therapy dog (re)certification testing.
She holds a BS in accounting from Trinity College, summa cum laude. She also studied computer science at the University of Vermont.
Johnna’s family includes three adorable pups ranging in age from adolescent to senior. They enjoy hiking, playing ball, and snuggling.
